<The Iron Ball And Meat> is an early installation made by the artist during her college time. She paid intensive labor to build the iron ball, and the operation helped the artist be aware of her body's existence. She was interested in energy flow within the life and death cycle, so she hung raw meats on the ball's spines, and took pictures to record the rotten process. The artist tried to explore the relationship between two ideas of the time: the living time of her body and the death time of the meats. The body as the live meat kept getting old, on the contrary, the dead meat continued growing bugs, molds, and bad smell until disappearing thoroughly.
